Have you ever wanted to see a talking microwave? Or to use the computer by just moving your head a little bit?
Come see these and other types of assistive technology that can help individuals with disabilities do things that might otherwise be difficult or impossible to do.
The new RESOURCE AND TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION CENTER includes various types of assistive technology, or "tools for independence" for people with disabilities or special needs of all ages. You will also find information about community resources, books and DVDs about disabilities, and catalogs for ordering equipment.
Enjoy refreshments as you learn about the myriad of devices available to make your life or the life of someone you love a bit easier.

Day 1: “Real Life Strategies” Learn how to increase learning and decrease behaviors & Learn how to individualize a program for individuals with Autism or Developmental Disabilities
Practical strategies that you can use immediately, will be taught!!
Day 2: “HOW To Teach” Take your teaching to the next level!
Participants will learn “how” to effectively teach skills to individuals using applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies. Individual IEP, ELP (or current planning tool) goals and objectives will be broken down into “how” to teach and “how” to incorporate into functional activities across the day. Many suggestions of functional activities will be given out at the training.
$155 per day Registration: 8:00am Start Time: 8:30am End Time: 3:30pm
Diane Black has been working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities for nearly 20 years. She has presented nationally and internationally. Diane provides comprehensive consultation to schools and parents across the country. She also works to set up programs for students with Autism.
Certificates of attendance will be given to participants for each day.
