Enjoy Respite at Easter Seals Respite programs at Easter Seals allows parents and caregivers a short interval of rest and relief from the 24-hour responsibility of direct care to their loved ones.
SATURDAY RESPITE PROGRAM The Saturday Respite program provides recreation, fun and friendship in a relaxed setting for adults with disabilities. One or two Saturdays each month, this six-hour program allows participants to enjoy activities with their peers. Different themes each month add to the participants’ experience and festivities including: holiday celebrations, World Series for baseball enthusiasts, Equestrian day for our four-legged aficionados, Health and Wellness and more. Program activities may include outdoor activities and field trips. Support and assistance provide by experienced Direct Support Professionals.
DELAWARE LIFESPAN RESPITE CARE NETWORK This program helps Delaware caregivers find and pay for respite care. Caregivers receive free information, guidance, and referrals to respite care providers throughout the state. They can also apply for up to $500 in financial assistance per care recipient per year. The Delaware Lifespan Respite Care Network is overseen by an advisory committee representing consumers, state agencies, and service providers. RESPITE WEEKEND PROGRAM AT CAMP FAIRLEE MANOR Chestertown, MD The Respite Weekend program provides outdoor recreation, fun and friendship for children and adults with disabilities in a camp setting. The weekend allows parents and caregivers a short interval of rest and relief from the 24-hour responsibility of direct care or service. Program activities vary by group age and ability, but may include sports and games, nature activities, creative arts, outdoor adventure activities, field trips and more.
